Welcome to Specialty Training
A warm welcome from specialty training. Within the Northern Deanery we coordinate and facilitate the training in secondary care specialties in the North East and Cumbria.
We work closely with clinicians in every specialty either through a School structure and / or through a Specialty Training Committee, to provide the highest possible quality education and training for our trainees.
As a specialty trainee in the Northern Deanery you can be certain of the highest quality training, supervision and support.
Our main areas of work include:
- Ensuring there are sufficient numbers of caring and competent specialists to meet the needs of patients.
- Supporting trainees in achieving their full potential.
- Developing the faculty of clinical educators to design and deliver high quality education and professional development.
